Summary

My name is Stephanie Liakos and I am a marketing, communications, and publicity professional who has spent over six years helping brands expand their online presence. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Film, Video, and Media Studies with minors in Journalism and Audio Engineering.


Through the use of effective content creation and management, I help organizations engage their audiences and stay at the top of industry conversations. I use a holistic approach to marketing, ensuring that businesses are set up for success.


Currently, I am actively seeking full-time employment in digital marketing, communications, creative direction, press relations, journalism and/or content management. I reside in Los Angeles, California but am available for opportunities across the globe.


Work Sample: Good Deed Entertainment


At Good Deed Entertainment, I managed the paid and organic marketing for the boutique distributor’s slate of independent films. I managed the social media accounts of films from the time they were acquired by the distributor to years after the film’s release and promotion on TVOD, SVOD, and AVOD platforms.



In this role, I created marketing calendars, social media toolkits, and press kits for each title. In addition, I contributed to the creation of each titles key art, trailer, trailer cutdowns, and other promotional materials.


I worked directly with high-end talent in this role, proving my strong ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Work Sample: Summertime


At Good Deed Entertainment, I managed the social media accounts for over thirty independent films.


One of the successful projects I promoted was the Sundance award-winning film, SUMMERTIME.

I used both paid and organic strategies to receive up to 1 million views on the film's Instagram and Tiktok accounts.

My organic social media campaign included detailed graphics highlighting various locations mentioned in the film as well as a YouTube web-series documenting the process of creating and distributing an independent film.

Work Sample: Moon Manor


Another successful creative marketing campaign that I spearheaded at Good Deed Entertainment promoted the film MOON MANOR.

I aided in the creation and editing of the film’s official key art, trailer, and trailer cutdowns. In addition, I managed a team of graphic design interns to create countdown cards, quote cards, and key art resizes for Amazon, Apple TV, and Kanopy.

Work Sample: Cranked Up Films


At Good Deed Entertainment, I also headed the marketing for their genre label, Cranked Up Films. In this role, I used paid and organic marketing strategies (paid and organic social, digital, print, OOH, etc) to promote their slate of films, including COSMIC DAWN, EXTRAORDINARY, THIS GAME’S CALLED MURDER, DOUBLE WALKER, and various horror shorts, dubbed ‘Crank’s Picks.’

In this position, I was able to flex by PR muscles by creating PR boxes, coordinating influencer marketing, and creating press kits. I also created social media toolkits for the cast and crew of films to promote their projects online.

Work Sample: VMI Worldwide


I’ve worked with Vantage Media International, a worldwide distribution, film finance, and production company as a repeat client on multiple campaigns for their US distribution projects.


I performed a social media audit on their corporate channels, giving them detailed best practices for their ongoing campaigns. I created detailed social media calendars for each campiagn and provided graphic design and ads management services to increase sales.


I’m excited to have worked on film titles such as PORTRAIT OF THE QUEEN, DEATH ON THE BORDER, DON’T SUCK, and JUNCTION.


Work Sample: TreePeople

I worked with Los Angeles-based non-profit TreePeople to create content for the organization’s social media and website. I provided their team with marketing best practices to achieve their objectives of growing their online presence.


I created an extensive, detailed social media calendar for the organization, planning out content up to eight weeks in advance. Using this calendar, I then produced photography, videography, copy, and graphic design assets for comprehensive marketing campaigns.


I worked with TreePeople’s marketing coordinator and served as their mentor in social media management and photography.

Work Sample: Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo

At the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, I implemented a bespoke standards of practice and style guide for the organization’s social media presence.


In this role, I not only promoted the organization’s events, but also served as a company representative at those events. In addition, I produced photography and videography to increase event attendance, donor conversions, and brand awareness.


At the ACGK, I maintained the organization’s robust website and crafted weekly email newsletters, ensuring a high quality experience for subscribers. I also proofread all company marketing marterials, including print and digital brochures, billboards, and press releases.

Work Sample: Fox in the Snow

When I first joined Fox in the Snow, they had a strong following, but they were not using the platform to its full potential. I focused my strategy on follower engagement and customer satisfaction.


I implemented a social media calendar, responded to messages promptly, developed an email marketing strategy, and promoted products on their

e-commerce website.


With these methods, I decreased support costs per customer and improved time to resolution.


Work Sample: Icarus Sandwich Shop


My organic strategy for Icarus Sandwich Shop focused on vertical video and guerilla marketing.


I used Instagram's story features such as highlights to showcase each menu item.


I coordinated influencer visits to the shop as well as giveaways for loyal customers.


Sales increased by 60% at the shop within my first three months of hire.


Work Sample: Django


I worked with DJANGO to identify areas in their existing marketing strategy that could be optimized. While the company had a healthy amount of followers, these followers were not actively engaged and were not converting to sales.


I implemented a structured social media calendar for the brand, which introduced regular use of vertical videos and carousel posts on Instagram. I also maintained the posts on their Amazon brand page.


In one month, engagement on Instagram and Facebook combined increased by 131%. In this same time period, reach on Instagram and Facebook increased by 93%.
